The Coronavirus outbreak has caused a major demand in the usage of hand-sanitizers and masks, in order to practice self-hygiene, which is crucial to prevent the virus from entering the body
Recently, actor-comedian Bala Saravanan, known for his performances in films such as Oru Naal Koothu, Thirudan Police and Ispade Rajavum Idhaya Raniyum shared a bitter experience encountered by him while buying hand sanitizer at a medical shop.
The actor lamented the overpricing of sanitizers above the Maximum Retail Price of the product "Three days ago, I went to a medical shop to buy hand sanitizers and a sanitizer with an MRP rate of sixty rupees is sold at hundred and thirty-five rupees, and the pharmacist is clueless about this. Later, when I went to a coffee-shop with my friends, the shop's employee offered me hand sanitizer and she, too, was worried about the product's overpricing everyone in the shop agreed with her."
He added that it is indeed shameful to see people selling such important items at exorbitant rates. Bala Saravanan concluded by saying that "Humans are more dangerous than Corona."
