She was highly distraught, and warned her son that marriage is not a joke, and getting a divorce and leaving his better half is not something so easily done. She also warned him that she would not keep calm in such issues.

On the other hand, Gopi is utterly terrified, probably on thinking how Bakkiya will react when she comes to know as to what he's been doing devoid of her knowledge.
