Atlee made his directorial debut with 'Raja Rani' and then went on to direct Mersal, Bigil, Theri in Tamil.
During the shoot of Bigil, Atlee told a story to Shah Rukh Khan while the film was being filmed and Shah Rukh Khan agreed to it and also was ready to produce it under the Red Chillies banner. The official announcement of this movie has been released today with a mass video.
The film, directed by Atlee and starring Shah Rukh Khan, is reportedly being shot in Pune and around Mumbai. According to reports, Nayanthara will be paired with Shah Rukh Khan.
According to reports, Priyamani, who has acted in Tamil films like Paruthiveeran, Ravana, Thotta and Malaikottai, will be playing a major role in the film. GK Vishnu is the cinematographer for this film.
The makers have revealed that the film is titled 'Jawan'. The teaser also features Shah Rukh Khan with a serious head injury, with a bandaged face, holding a gun in his hand and talking on the phone, and sitting in front of a train.
The film is a pan-Indian release in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
