Director Santhakumar caught everyone's attention when he made Mounaguru. The film was critically acclaimed and had Arulnithi playing the lead. Notably, AR Murugadoss remade this film in Hindi as Akira with Sonakshi Sinha.

Now, he's back with his next project that is bankrolled by Studio Green KE Gnanavel Raja. This film has been titled as Maha Muni.

Maha Muni has Arya playing the lead with Meyaadha Maan fame Indhuja and Kuttram 23 fame Mahima Nambiar playing the female leads.

SS Thaman, who composed the music for Mounaguru, reunites with Santhakumar for this film. Maha Muni went on floors today with a pooja.
