"WE DRINK WHAT WE EXCRETE"

Arun Krishnamoorthy, the founder of Environmentalists Foundation of India and a well-known activist, was one of the eminent speakers of Behindwoods Made in Chennai - The Conclave, where four eminent speakers from across different verticals spoke on how to raise awareness for a cleaner Chennai. The event was held at Hotel Ramada Plaza, Guindy on February 25, in the presence of students from various city colleges.

Arun Krishnamoorthy in his touching presentation of how it was the encroachment of dirty people that destroyed a beautiful city, presented how many lakes and water bodies have vanished from Chennai's topography. He also explained about an incident, where he visited an area in Chennai where the canned water was prepared that also had in its neighbourhood a drainage dumping facility. "A kid who accompanied me to this location innocently pointed out that we drink is what we excrete," he collected.
