FROM A SMALL TIME ROWDY IN VEDALAM TO A COUNSELOR NOW!

An art director’s work mostly goes unnoticed, even experts claim that is how it needs to be. Only when the set up looks seamless, it is a good set work. Art director Kiran is one such creator who strives to showcase the reality through his set work.

Kiran is also known for supporting roles in films like VIP, Ko, Vedalam (He plays a small time rowdy in the film) and Anegan. He talks to us about a complaint that he commonly faces these days. He says that people question him that he does art direction for films that he only acts.

Kiran clarifies, “That is a baseless rumor, I treat acting and art direction as two separate streams. I do act in films that I don’t do art direction. Currently, I am doing art direction for KV Anand-Vijay Sethupathi’s project and Vignesh Shivan’s Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal. And I am acting in Vijay Antony’s Yeman where I play the role of a counselor”.
