Archana Kalpathi, the CEO of AGS Cinemas celebrates her birthday on the 18th of October which means it is going to be a 'double damakka' for her this Diwali.
What is going to make her birthday even more special is Vijay's Mersal. Archana has always claimed herself to be a Thalapathy fan and would be looking forward to watching the opening show of Mersal.

When a follower told her if they did not reduce parking ticket rate, he will watch Mersal in Tamilrockers(Piracy website), she replied back saying - "Don’t think it is cool to state you will watch on tamilrockers I will personally report it. It is illegal #StopPiracy #Theft #Mersal"

Finally, here is the happy news all Vijay fans have been waiting to know. Yes, all decks cleared for Mersal and the movie will hit the screens as scheduled for Diwali on the 18th of October.
After thanking Cheif Minister Edappadi Palanisamy for reducing Entertainment tax and regulating ticket price system, Vishal had officially stated to the media that "Mersal will release for Diwali".
Rhevanth Charan of Rohini Cinemas also took to his Twitter space to update about the issue, "All issues cleared . Agreement signed . Ready 😎 #MersalDiwaliatRohini🔥"
