After making the whole of India tune to the song 'Hindustani Way' sung by Singer Ananya Birla as a cheer song for Indian sports personalities ahead of Tokyo Olympics, AR Rahman has spread his magic dust once again in the song 'Param Sundari' from the movie 'Mimi' starring Kriti Sanon in the lead role.
The song which literally translates to 'eternal beauty' was released on Friday, July 16, shows Kriti Sanon dancing on a stage where she's flaunting her best moves. While fans have been heaping praise on Kriti for her stunning dance video, the song has also garnered appreciation for the refreshing music composed by AR Rahman.
Within two days of its release, the song climbed up the YouTube trending ladder and reached 2.9 crore views. The song continues to be shared widely. Amitabh Bhattacharya has penned down the lyrics and Shreya Ghoshal has lent her voice for the dance number. The comments section of the video song is filled with fans praising the combination of the music maestro and Shreya Ghoshal. Many said that it has been a long time since they heard such a fresh song.
Last checked, the video had more than 35 million views. 'Mimi' releasing on Jio Cinemas and Netflix on July 30, also features Manoj Pahwa and Supriya Pathak and Pankaj Tripathi.
