Actor-director SJ Suryah has been associated with Vijay in Kushi (director) and Nanban (supporting actor). Sathyaraj has previously worked alongside Vijay in Nanban and Thalaivaa. In fact, AR Rahman, the music director of the film has also worked in Udhaya and Azhagiya Tamil Magan. For all of them, Vijay 61 will be their third collaboration with Vijay.
