After making heads turn from all over the world for his double Oscar victory back in 2009, AR Rahman has always maintained an awesome image in the west for his amazing music. He had also won the BAFTA award, Grammy and the Golden Globe as well.
Now, for his the score in 'Viceroy's House', the recent British-Indian Historical film, he has been nominated for the World Soundtrack Awards. He took to Twitter to share this news with the world as he tweeted, ''Thank you World Soundtrack Awards for the nomination for 'Viceroy's House' எல்லாபுகழும் இறைவனுக்கே''. Yet again, he thanked the almighty for the nomination!
Yesterday, the Mersal team was spotted shooting some patch works at an IT park located near Thuraipakkam, Chennai. We were told that a Hospital scene was canned in yesterday's shoot.
Apparently, Vijay has completed his shoot and also dubbing work for the film. He is expected to take part in the 'poosanikai' ceremony which will take during the last day of the shoot.
Meanwhile, AR Rahman along with his Qutub-E-Kriba band has supposedly started work for Mersal's background score. The team is ostensibly thrilled to score the re-recording for a mass film like Mersal.
This news also comes in as a huge relief to Vijay and AR Rahman fans. AR Rahman as we know is extremely passionate with what he does and wouldn't like to compromise for the sake of a deadline. Now that Rahman has a solid 20-30 days time to work on the RR part, we could expect a fascinating final output from 'Isai Puyal'.
