When AR Murugadoss was asked about SJS's directorial skills, this is what he had to say referring to his style of writing adult comedy scripts; "The kind of characters and scenes he wrote in his films were all himself and his real-life incidents. Except the scenes will be drafted in a different angle. In fact, the incidents from his life will be even more interesting, but he would write it in a way that the audience can enjoy. The famous 'Irukku Aana Illa' and even small reactions are all taken from his life."
Actor Vijay’s Mersal directed by Atlee is one of the biggest films of this year. It has actor SJ Suryah playing the antagonist, and the movie is getting ready at a good pace. In an exclusive interview with Behindwoods, he talks about his character, and its introduction:
“Working with Atlee was a very different experience. He is none other than the ‘Sishyan’ of director Shankar. In Vijay sir’s Mersal, I play a stylish villain, and the look of my character will be very suave. For my introduction in Mersal, there were 15 shots. You would not believe it, but these 15 shots cost around 50 lakhs. Such a grand intro the character has.”
