Almost all his assistant directors have made hit films, most them with their very first attempt. TN Santhosh, M Saravanan, Ajay Gnanamuthu, Thirukumaran, Rajkumar Periyasamy and Anand Shankar are some of the precious gifts we have got from AR Murugadoss' school.

His assistant Ajay Gnanamuthu's Imaikkaa Nodigal got released yesterday night. There are positive reviews for the film all over. When a fan praised AR Murugadoss for giving such quality directors to Kollywood, the Sarkar director replied, "Proud moment 😍."
