Remo directed by Bakkiayaraj Kannan is in the centre of attention, especially after the release of first look and a single, a few days ago. The film features Sivakarthikeyan and Keerthy Suresh as the leads and we also have an interesting personality from Mollywood making his debut in Tamil. He is Anson. We talked to the dashing young man to know more about him and his projects.
“Although I am debuting in Tamil now, Chennai is not new to me. I have lived in Chennai for the past ten years. I have lived abroad but from my 11th grade, I have been in Chennai. I have done all my mischief here.
I debuted in Malayalam with KQ with Parvathy Omanakuttan of Billa 2 fame. It was her debut in Malayalam as well. I have also done Su Su Sudhi Vathmeekam which won the National Award. I was the second lead in the film. It was a family entertainer. Later, I did a photoshoot for a magazine Lu Lu. When that cover came out, it caught the attention of Remo team who was looking out for someone from Malayalam industry. I auditioned for the role and I got it.
Although I cannot reveal about my character in the film, all that I can say is it was wonderful working in Remo.
To me, being in PC Sreeram sir’s frame in my very first film is amazing. I am a beginner and getting to understand the world of cinema. Although Sivakarthikeyan is an established star, he had no airs about him. He was simple and down to earth. He used to guide me and balance my tone of acting. Keerthy was also very supportive. It’s nice to be a part of this film, getting to know the craft and the functioning of Tamil cinema which I have grown up watching. Director Bakkiyaraj Kannan also helped me a lot. I am looking forward to the release of Remo.
On the other hand, in Malayalam, I am also doing Jeethu Joseph’s Oozham where Prithviraj is the lead and I play the antagonist”.
Welcome Anson to Tamil and best wishes!
