In another shocking news, one of the renowned musicians, Dave Greenfield, the keyboard player with British punk band The Stranglers, died after testing positive for Coronavirus. He was 71.
The Stranglers' official website announced that the musician passed away on Sunday, May 3. According to the statement, he was tested positive for Coronavirus on April 26 after a prolonged hospital stay due to heart problems.
Hugh Cornwall, the band's former lead singer, tweeted, “I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Dave Greenfield. He was the difference between The Stranglers and every other punk band. His musical skill and gentle nature gave an interesting twist to the band.
He further said, “He should be remembered as the man who gave the world the music of Golden Brown.” Another loss to the entertainment industry, may his departed soul rest in peace!
