Everyone is clueless as to what led the actress to take this drastic step. Celeb friends who had met with her last night such as VJ Manimeghalai, Sivaangi Krish, have shared emotional note about their last moments.
Apparently Chitra returned to her hotel last night from a shoot - Sivaangi wrote - "Akka we were dancing and singing together so happily yesterday. It is not even 24 hours and you are gone. Why did you do this? Rest In Peace Chithu akka".
Manimeghalai also shared a post, with the caption: "Really really Shocking Chithu .... I know how bold & Strong you are but I seriously don’t know what made you to take this decision .. Yesterday v were in the Same make up room, Spoke about lotsa things, getting ready for shoot, but waking up today with really a bad news... i still can’t believe you’re no more :( RIP".
