Here's an interesting thought, or rather must we say assumption? Right from the moment the news of Dhanush starring in the upcoming Hollywood venture - The Extraordinary Journey Of the Fakir Who Got Trapped In The Ikea Cupboard, film enthusiasts and fans of the actor has been subject to vivid imaginations on what his role is going to be in the film and how he is going to carry it.
Considering the film is an adaptation of Romain Puertolas's best selling debut, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir who got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe, Dhanush can be assumed to play the lead con man, who travels from a small Village in India to Paris.
Known for his flexibility as an actor, adaptability to and command over any slang of Tamil and Hindi (Aadukalam and Raanjhanaa stand testimony), Dhanush without a doubt will have no problem flooring Uma Thurman, Alexandra Daddario or the director, Marjane Satrapi. But hailing from an industry that produces movies with characters speaking 'funny English' and having succumbed to the trend in a few of his earlier ventures, despite having a good command over the language, Dhanush will most probably seen speaking English in his original professional accent and not the 'funny' kind that we have seen him portray in a few movies, which would be one of the proud brags of his fans. At the same time, it is indeed going to be a suspenseful time until the film's release, with the whole nation's anticipation and excitement about Dhanush's performance in his Hollywood debut, likely to surge to a point where we'll be unable to bear it no further.
We are incredibly proud of you Dhanush and our curiosity has already started to peak.
