Based on the life of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa, 'Thalaivi' directed by Vijay will feature Kangana Ranaut in the lead role. The movie is bankrolled by Vishnu Induri and Shaailesh R. Singh.
Touted to be a multi-lingual project, Thalaivi's cinematographer is Vishal Vittal while GV Prakash Kumar will don the role of music composer for the movie. Writer K.V. Vijayendra Prasad has co-written the script.
The Prosthetic measurement sessions at Jason Collins’s Studio, USA and her rigorous training in Bharatanatyam had proved that the Manikarnika actress was quite adept and intensely involved in the biopic’s preparation.
