Avatar director James Cameron has reportedly gone on to reveal the first details on Kate Winslet’s character, Ronal. Talking to Hollywood media, Cameron said that Ronal is a character who is part of the sea people, the reef people.

On narrating the character to the Titanic actress and about her reaction to it, James Cameron said, “She's very excited about it. She blazed through for a couple of days of rehearsals and saw the world that we had created, and how we do the work, and she's very excited." It is said that she has learnt to free dive, as part of homework and preparation for her character in the Avatar sequel.
