The movie has been written-directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and produced by Bhansali and Jayantilal Gada’s Pen India Limited.
This upcoming film is a biopic of a 60's underworld matriarch and brothel owner in Kamathipura, named Gangubai Kathiawadi. The film is made based on Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai.
