Indian audiences are going through a paradigm shift. Their tastes and preferences towards movie watching are changing. One such recent example is Akshay Kumar's 100 crore business with the film Air Lift.
Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, the action-drama is based on a true event. Unanimously appreciated for its solid content and memorable performances, the film is raking in the moolah and also praised by the critics.
Akshay Kumar's previous outings Brothers and Singh is Bling did decent business and now the khiladi is back to what he's best at. Being a part of the magnum opus Rajinikanth starrer 2.0, Shankar would definitely like to capitalize more on the Hindi version of the film as well as cranking big time number up North using Akshay's star power will be a priority.
Though nothing is known about Akshay's role in 2.0 (but for the fact that he may be playing an antagonist in the film), he is getting all the limelight and he would like to continue the trend.
