AJITH'S STATEMENT ON KARUNANIDHI'S DEMISE

Actor Ajith Kumar, who is currently shooting for his upcoming film Viswasam with director Siva, has released a statement for Karunanidhi's family and the DMK Party supporters. 

The statement read: "Muthamizh Arignar, Mooththa Thalaivar, 5-time Chief Minister of the state of Tamil Nadu, Dr. Kalaignar was a renowned person in the field for literature, politics, and also a powerful leader. 

I would like to deliver my condolences to his grief-stricken family, the party members of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, and the people of Tamil Nadu. 

I pray to god that his soul rests in peace."

Dr. Karunanidhi passed away yesterday at 6:10 pm and as a mark of respect, the Cinema industry has been shutdown today. Other actors like Vishal, Rajinikanth, and Kamal Haasan too gave out statements, delivering their condolences to the legend. 

Ajith Kumar has also left the shooting spot at Hyderabad and has reached Rajaji Hall where the body has been kept. The shooting will resume once he returns back.
