In an exclusive Interview with Behindwoods, director Agathiyan spoke in-depth about the movie and his experience on working with Ajith. The movie got him 2 National awards after its release. However, he revealed that many producers rejected this script.

Agathiyan said “Yes, many producers rejected the script. One producer asked him if I wanted to quit direction and keep a small shop, for survival. Another producer lashed out at me, for writing a different script. I had to face all these before I could finally get a producer to trust the story.”

Speaking about Thala Ajith, he said “Ajith is an amazing actor. He is very dedicated and is down to Earth. If we schedule a shot at 6.30 am, Ajith will be there first. He does not have any attitude or ego. He is also a standout performer.”
