'Ponniyin Selvan' boasts of an ensemble cast that includes Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Trisha, Prabhu, Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Kishore, Jayaram, Lal, Rahman and a whole set of other stars.

The South Queen has now signed her first web series, which has been titled 'Brinda'. The show, which will stream on Sony LIV, will be directed by Surya Vangala. 'Brinda' will be made in Telugu and is likely to be dubbed into other languages. Trisha took to her Instagram stories to reveal that she had started shooting for the web series. The show was launched on October 15 with a customary pooja ceremony.

Trisha also took to her Instagram page to post a picture from what looks like a photoshoot and said, "Say a lil prayer for us. #Brinda." Many celebrities including Khushbu Sundar, Samantha, Aarti Ravi and Anchor DD sent her heart emojis and wished her the best.  Trisha will be simultaneously shooting for both 'Brinda' and her Kannada film 'Dvitva' with actor Puneet Rajkumar. Pawan of Lucia and U-Turn fame is directing the film.
