Arvind Swamy recently worked with Director Vijay in the recently released 'Thalaivi'. While he aced the role of Actor and late CM MG Ramachandran, Kangana Ranaut also gave an equally spectacular performance as former late CM J Jayalalithaa in the trilligual biopic.
Up next Aravind Swamy is all set to return to Malayalam cinema as he has been signed up for Tamil-Malayalam bi-lingual film 'Ottu'. It was way back in 1996 that Swamy had acted in a Malayalam film 'Devaragam' and prior to that he also donned the grease paint in the film 'Daddy'.
The movie has been named as 'Rendagam' in Tamil. Apart from Arvind Swamy, talented Malayalam hero Kunchako Boban will be starring in this film which will be his Kollywood debut.
Directed by Fellini TP of Theevandi fame, the film’s first look was released a few months back. The film is produced by Tamil star Arya’s banner Arya’s The Show People and August Cinema headed by Shaji Nadesan. The shoot of the movie is currently going on at a brisk pace and it looks like the cast and crew have moved to Mumbai to shoot some crucial scenes. They also bumped into Dulquer Salmaan, who was shooting for his upcoming Bollywood film directed by acclaimed filmmaker Balki which is also set to be a thriller.

‘Ottu’ scripted by by S Sajeevan is said to be a thriller. Since it is a Tamil-Malayalam bilingual, actors from both the languages will be part of the cast. Telugu actress Eesha Rebba has been signed as the female lead. Meanwhile, Arya, who was last seen as Kabilan in the Pa Ranjith's sports drama 'Sarpatta Parambarai', has Sundar C's 'Aranmanai 3' and and 'Enemy' directed by Anand Shankar up for release on October 14.
