Director Adhik Ravichandran who is eagerly awaiting the release of his AAA starring Simbu, had made a mark with his commercially successful first film Trisha Illana Nayanthara that had GV Prakash in the lead role. In an exclusive interview with Behindwoods, Adhik talks about how Trisha Illana Nayanthara (TIN) actually happened:
“I had numerous heart touching scripts, but all of it got rejected. Finally, I came up with this adult comedy script with barely anything for family audiences and targeted at the youth. I called up the producer and told him I have a bad story, but it will win commercially. As said, TIN did well commercially, thanks to the youth. However, the film got an ‘A’ certificate and also, before the release I told audiences that this is not for women.
I told women not to come to the theatres for it’s content but still lots of couples thronged the theatres. I did not wrongly market TIN and I think it helped . We just made a trendy film which could catch the pulse of the audiences and it worked for us. But Simbu’s AAA will be a film that can be watched by the family audiences as well”.
