She said, "The director had narrated me the script and it was very bold and new. I wasn't sure if I should take up. That evening, I met my family doctor, who is also a psychiatrist. Co-incidentally, she told me about one of her weird cases, where a wife added drug pills to her husband's food so that she could have fun with her brother in law. I was shocked. This was the story, the director narrated to me. The doctor immediately asked me to do the film, and it would be an awareness film.

So, I spoke with the director and told that if we take the film without any cleavage or exposing shots, I would do the film. Though the content of the film is 'A' certified, I didn't want any visual explicitness and I was very sure about it. He agreed and we went for filming. Of course, during the shooting, we had some differences of opinion and arguments, as the makers wanted me to expose a little more to spice up. But I was not ready for that.

We completed the film and the response was totally surprising. The film gave me a huge break. I myself have watched that film only once in my lifetime, that too, during the release, along with my mother. I couldn't watch that film at all. It was disturbing. I would want to go out of the theatre, but my mother, made me watch it fully.

Even now, if they telecast the film on TV, I'd go off somewhere. I cannot see myself in such a bad negative shaded character. But, I was really surprised with the audience's response. Many people would come and praise me, and it would be an unexpected appreciation because I didn't know that the film would be received well. That success actually gave me more and more confidence to take up bold roles."
