Hailing from Pallavaram, Chennai, she was married to Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya. Samantha, who continued to act even after marriage, recently divorced her husband Naga Chaitanya.

When asked about the tattoo ideas she was interested in, Samantha responded saying that the one thing she would tell her younger self is to never get a tattoo.
