Her recent movie - #TasherGhawr, a #hoichoi film, has the actress showing a bra strap, and this has caused arguments to flare up in the comments section regarding the image. The actress replied, sharing some posters showing men's underwear straps, "Are we interested/do we question why directors make their heroes flaunt their briefs/underwear/chaddis in posters? We don’t, it doesn’t even cross our mind rather it’s kinda cool. But a woman’s bra strap raises curiosity - There’s no story, it’s time we get used to normal things!"
Also, when asked why it is showing in a horror movie, she said, "A woman in a horror or thriller can or cannot show bra straps ?! What is the thought behind it ? I am very curious now. And in romcoms women can wear off shoulder dresses it’s cool, why can’t they wear the same in a tragedy film?"
Swastika also responded to another strange tweet of the reason behind obsession behind bra straps - "Meri bra, meri strap. Dikhau, na dikhau, meri marzi. Iske andar story kya hoga ? Film poster me bra strap kyu dikh raha hain ? Is ka bhi connection chahiye with the plot ?! (My bra, my strap. It's my wish whether to show it or not - "Why, will the story get affected due to this? Why is it showing in the poster?" - should it have any connection with the plot?"
