Actress Jyothika was last seen on screen playing the lead in Radha Mohan's Kaatrin Mozhi and in Manirathnam's Chekka Chivantha Vaanam before that. Jyothika's next film in her 'second innings' is Raatchasi directed by Gowtham Raj which is set to release tomorrow (July 5th).
The gripping and intense trailer of the film featured Jyothika as 'Geetharani', newly placed government school teacher who takes her profession seriously and stands out among other teachers who are not pleased with her actions. The film starres Poornima Bhagyaraj and Sathyan in pivotal roles.
The film is produced by Dream Warrior Pictures and the music of the film is scored by Sean Roldan. Gokul Benoy has handled the cinematography and the editing has been done by Philomin Raj.
'Rekka Namakku' a new video song from the film has been released which displays Jyothika's interesting interactions and activities with the school children. In the video, 'Geetharani' helps to bring out the talent of the children through various cultural and sport activities which presumably the children were not exposed to before. There are many interesting scenes from the song where the students show their unique talents and skills to her, which sends us in a nostalgia trip to our fun-filled school days with our favourite teachers. Sean Roldan's apt music and Srinidhi's voice which stands out, makes the song an interesting number.
