After the success of the AR Murugadoss-directed Sarkar, Vijay is set to play the lead in director Atlee's fourth directorial Bigil, which marks the actor-director duo's third collaboration. Nayanthara will be essaying the leading lady while the supporting cast includes Vivekh, Anandraj, Yogi Babu, Kathir, Jackie Shroff and others.
In a recent interview to Behindwoods, actress Devadarshini, who plays a crucial role in Bigil, shares her experience working in the film. The 'Kanchana' actress admitted that she felt pleasantly surprised when Vijay mentioned her name during the audio launch speech of Bigil.
During the interview, Devadarshini revealed another surprising trivia about the film. Devadarshini revealed that her daughter Niyathi, who starred in director C. Prem Kumar's romantic classic 96, was supposed to play a role in this film but opted out since since the film's schedule clashed with her 10th standard exams.
Devadarshini also recounted that Vijay was impressed by her daughter's performance in the Vijay Sethupathi-starrer and spoke to her about her regarding that. Produced by AGS Entertainment, Bigil is set to release on October 25.
