As we all know, Kerala is undergoing a tough phase as the state has been witnessing historical rainfall, resulting in heavy floods, that has disturbed the daily livelihood of the people. The Kerala Government is involved in evacuating people from the affected areas to safer places.
Meanwhile actress Ananya, whom we have seen in films like 'Engeyum Eppodhum', informed that her house in Kerala has been affected by the floods. She also added that she is currently staying in actress Asha Sharath's (Drishyam/Papanasam fame) house in Perumbavoor. "My house is completely under water. We became safe only around 11 am on Friday. We are now safe at Asha Sharath's house in Perumbavoor. We have gone through a bad phase for the past two days.
The water rose to heights within few minutes. All of relatives houses are also under water. It is still raining. I know there are people who are going through even worser experiences. We need to help them. Pay for them. At this point, we want to thank everyone who came forward to help us.", Ananya was quoted as saying, in her FB live video.
Mollywood star Tovino Thomas requested the people to evacuate from isolated areas, and get to safer places, as it will be difficult for the rescue teams to reach out. Tovino is actively involved in distributing foods, and other daily essentials to the people through relief camps and other means.
Recent sensation Priya Prakash Varrier took to her Instagram page to request people to help the people of Kerala by donating relief funds. She posted, "Hey Instagram family!I know that most of you are from outside Kerala and there has been confusions regarding what you can do for our state. Its very sad that the National media is not giving any attention to the disastrous situation in Kerala. A lot of people have lost their lives already due to the floods and rain.
Many of them are put up in rescue camps. They have lost their homes and belongings. This situation may continue till the 22nd of this month. We are all doing whatever possible to help them as a whole. I am proud to say that Kerala is standing as one and facing this misery. Now, it’s time for you guys to come forward and contribute whatever you can to help our state. Lets not forget that Kerala is also part of India.
So please do donate whatever you can to the Kerala Chief Minister’s fund and help rebuild lives. Every rupee counts"
