'BALAN NA IRUKEN' - ACTOR VISHAL

It has been a day since a video of a poor farmer named G.Balan from Thanjavur getting brutally beaten up by policemen spread virally through various media.

Balan was apparently beaten up and arrested since his loan repayment was at default. Balan, as explained by his wife, had taken a loan of Rs 3.4 lakhs for buying a tractor. He had already paid 4.1 lakhs to the bank including interest. Due to an unexpected failure of crops this season he wasn’t able to pay the remaining amount of Rs 1.3 lakhs. 

In a commendable act of humanity Vishal has come forward to look into Balan’s debt and also help him clear it. “Balan.i don't know u. But u r a farmer. I pledge my support to u. Monetarily. I don't know ur loans. but  accept my support. god bless”, tweeted actor and Nadigar Sangam general secretary Vishal.
