''ARVIND SWAMI AND I ARE THE ONLY NEW ADDITIONS''

Varun made a noticeable debut in editor Anthony’s directorial debut Oru Naal Iravil. He is now working in Victor Jayaraj’s Vinodhan. Meanwhile, he has signed his 3rd film Bogan being directed by Lakshman and produced by Prabhu Deva, where Jayam Ravi, Hansika and Arvind Swami play the leads.

Talking about this project, Varun says, “I was in Vinodhan’s discussion when Prabhu Deva anna asked me if I was ok to do this film. In fact, he was the one who suggested me for this role. When I heard the story, I was much impressed. After Jayam Ravi and Arvind Swami, my character will be very important which will feature throughout the film. Jayam Ravi and I play the role of cops and I am his friend in the film. My character is quite challenging and offers a lot of scope for performance. Arvind Swami is the baddie here. But for him and me, it is almost a repeat of Romeo Juliet cast in Bogan.

The film will be a very different genre, quite unpredictable and a new concept. Only towards the end, all the knots would unravel. It would be a new treat for the audience. Bogan will be very good visually also.

We began shooting last Friday with the Damaal Dumeel song that was choreographed by Raju Sundaram master. Nagendra Prasad also was there in the song. This will be the intro song that was picturized on Jayam Ravi, me and Nagendra Prasad.  We will now have five days of shoot where action sequence will be canned after which there will be a two day break during which we have planned a photo-shoot. This schedule will go on till 6th April. The unit plans to shoot in Chennai and Pondicherry”.
