Actor Suriya was recently in limelight for his passionate statement on the newly drafted National Education Policy and other educational provisions such as the NEET exam and the much-ddebated three-language policy.
The actor criticized the policies in a speech he gave during the 40th anniversary celebrations of Agaram Foundation, an organization that aims at providing educational needs to the underprivileged children. In the speech, the actor had emphasized that the policies were inclusive and that the three-language policy is imposed upon young minds.
In a recent statement, Suriya had mentioned that the education system must bridge the social divide between the rich and poor, and the Government must be responsible to acheive that." He had also mentioned that education must not turn into a gambling system, where money becomes a prime factor.
