Actor Senthil is among the top comedians of Tamil cinema. He is remembered for his tracks such as the ‘Vaazhapazha’ comedy amidst several other gags. Today, he reached the Chennai Police Commissioner's office in Vepery along with his advocate regarding a fake Twitter account in his name.
In his complaint, Senthil stated that he has been in the industry for 40 odd years now. A few miscreants have created a Twitter account in his name which allegedly spoke ill of the Tamil Nadu government and its Chief Minister. In addition to taking action against the miscreants, Senthil requested that the fake account be closed as well.
While addressing reporters, Senthil said that he doesn’t have any presence on any social media platform. He added that through his friends, he came to know of the fake account being operated in is name. A tweet says that I am against Tasmacs being reopened and I have requested MK Stalin to close them. I haven’t done any such thing.
I am someone who minds his own business. Acts of such people causes distress. I have complained to the Cyber Cell and they have assured me that appropriate action would be taken. Thus, said Senthil. Previously, it was comedian Charle’s turn to complain against a fake account on Twitter, impersonating him.
