Now actor Sarathkumar has now given his statement regarding this issue - "I heard producer SS Durairaj's justification speech on why a few Tamil films alone have been given special permission to shoot.

We initially had a plan to shoot a song sequence starting from 16 March for Pamban. SSK Films had in fact acquired the dates of 6 heroines to take part in the song shoot but then when we heard about Producer Council's strike, we changed our plans and the makers had to cancel the dates of all the heroines. It is really difficult to bring all the six heroines again to take part in the song shoot at the same time.

I don't understand when a few producers are given the privilege to shoot their films, why aren't we allowed to shoot? Won't the other producer have financial issues too?"
