Actor-director Prithviraj played the central role in director Lal Jr's recent film 'Driving Licence', which starred Suraj Venjaramoodu, Miya George, Major Ravi and others in principal roles. Directed by Lal Jr., the film has garnered positive response from critics and audiences.
In a recent interaction with fans post the release of Driving Licence, Prithviraj noted that he regretted missing an opportunity to direct Superstar Rajinikanth, an offer he received after the release of his debut directorial Lucifer.
The actor also added that he couldn't accept the offer since he was busy with the shoot of his forthcoming project Aadujeevitham, directed by Blessy. Prithviraj also revealed that he typed the longest apology note of his life to Rajinikanth for that.
On the directorial front, Prithviraj will be directing the sequel to Lucifer, titled Empuraan, which will also be starring Mohanlal as lead. Rajinikanth will be starring in AR Murugadoss' Darbar and 'Siruthai' Siva's Thalaivar 168.
