MLA KARUNAS SACRIFICED HIS TITLE

JK Ritesh who acted in movies like Kaanal Neer and Nayagan has now turned into a producer with his upcoming project Thappatam. He is also set to produce 5 movies.

Briefing about Thappatam, sources close to the actor say, "The movie is about the problems that creep in between a husband and wife because of unnecessary suspicions. It addresses issues which women face and that prompted me to produce the movie. The movie is set in the 80's and is based on a real life story".

While talking about the title, sources add, "The film is titled so because the lead plays a role whose profession is dancing before corpses on their final journey. Also, it indicates the mistakes and errors made by him. Karunas was planning to name his movie as Thappatam. But when Ritesh requested him for this title, he immediately sacrificed it".
