AN IMPORTANT DAY FOR TAMIL CINEMA

Today (26th May) is the birthday of Manorama Aachi who had entertained many generations with her terrific performances. She had acted in more than 1200 films and more than 5000 plays with a place in the Guinness Book of World records too.

Her real name was Gopi Shantha and she had started acting in plays from a very young age of 12. She has won many awards, including Kalaimaamani, National Award for Best Supporting Actress, Lifetime Achievement award to name a few. She had also been conferred with Padmashri.

On this important occasion, we recall Aachi Manorama with a lot of respect and salutations. Her memory and accomplishments will continue to transcend times.
