A TAMIL SHORTFILM'S REMARKABLE FEAT AT CANNES

Neripirazh is a short film that has won the unique distinction of being selected for screening at the Cannes Film Festival in the short film category recently.

The film is directed by Karthik Siva and produced by Suneel Kumar and Sridhar with a star cast of Maanas Chavali, Adhithya Shivpink, Mayuri, Vinodhini Vaidynathan, Aroul D Shankar, Samrat and Vaidhesh. The team is very passionate about their work and has an impressive credentials in theatre and filmmaking.

Director Karthik Siva says, “Neripirazh is based on  true events. It is an experimental psychological drama/thriller and is an honest take on contemporary issues prevailing across the cities. Some moments in our life are very precious which cannot be described in words or in any form of communication. Sometimes, those precious moments will take you to an uncanny world, a world filled with love, lust, betrayal, etc. Neripirazh discusses that”.

Karthik is naturally upbeat about Neripirazh’s remarkable feat. He says, “We are all so happy that our film was selected for screening at the Cannes. Being a debutant, I  never thought our film would reach this level; never knew that we would get international recognition for our film”.
