With piracy on a rapid rampage, the latest crew to be affected by it is 2D Entertainment’s 24. Social platforms are abuzz with the fact that a pirated version of 24 was recorded in a popular multiplex in Bangalore and a copy of the same has been identified by the crew.
To revolt against the piracy virus, 24’s distributor Gnanavel Raja is touted to be going on an indefinite hunger strike from today i.e. 13th May 2016 in the producer’s council.
When we contacted Mr.Rajasekar Pandian, 2D Entertainment about the same; he confirmed the news and added “It's not only 24 even Ko2 HD print is available online now!! This has to be stopped! It is high time the whole industry and media unite and stop this!! Piracy is not happening in this scale in any other language like Hindi, Kannada, Telugu or Malayalam then why only Tamil films!!?”
The question intrigues us too isn’t it? So how are we going to bell the cat? Any suggestions?
