VEDALAM BEATS KATHTHI

Ram Muthuram Cinemas is a pretty popular single screen in Tirunelveli down South of Tamil Nadu. The theater has till date experienced massive rush for Ilayathalapathy Vijay's films and is well-known in the social media space.

 

Ram Cinemas has screened Ajith's Diwali release Vedalam and has reportedly emerged as the highest grossing single screen in TN for Vedalam on Day 1, with a gross of 14 lakhs. This is a new Day 1 record at the theater too, with Kaththi's 13.5 lakhs being the previous first day benchmark for them. Vedalam had 6 housefull shows on the first day at Ram Cinemas, resulting in this gross of 14 lakhs. Interestingly the film also had a housefull midnight show early morning today, Nov 11.

 

Theater authorities expect a winner thanks to patronage from family audiences from the first day's evening show itself. After Veeram, they feel that Vedalam is a good family-friendly film from Ajith.
