VIJAY FOLLOWS RAJINI IN THE 'SHOCKERS' LIST

Film patrons are a group of people with ever-rejuvenating energy and expectations. Specially when announcements regarding the next project are due from a big star, it gets really interesting with the guessing wave hitting the entire tinsel town.

One such wave was the announcement regarding Ilayathalapathy’s next, Vijay 60. Yesterday, 19th November, reports came out confirming that director Bharathan is the chosen one by the Puli man. We saw many fans apparently taken by a sweet surprise or rather a shock, by this decision of their beloved star.

We wanted to revisit few such similar surprises/shocks that big stars gave us in the recent times.

- Superstar Rajini’s decision to sign up with director Ranjith.

- Kamal Haasan’s decision to team up with Ramesh Aravind for Uttama Villain and Rajesh M Selva for Thoongavanam. 

- Though not very recent, Ajith’s decision to let Chakri Toleti direct the much hyped Billa 2 also falls into this list.

Considering prior talks, if Suriya and Sathuranga Vettai fame director Vinoth come together for a project as hoped by film buffs, it will be a definite new addition to this 'surprise' list.
