CHENNAI TO BANGALORE - HOW TO GET THERE, QUICK GUIDE

The city of Chennai is undergoing a turmoil with respect to the heavy amount of  torrential rains it has been receiving since the couple of days. As a person who is based out of Chennai, getting back home, Bangalore was like the best option that I could think of. 

 

Here I give you few directions if you are looking at vacating the city for a while and definitely Bangalore is a feasible option. 

 

If you have an active net connection at your place, your job is half done. Book bus tickets on any travel portal and choose Egmore as the pick up point. Even if you do not have an active net connection in place, you can pick up tickets in person from the travel agents that are located in Egmore. (Yes, they are a bit overpriced but it is worth the cost)

 

To reach Egmore, the best possible route is;

 

1.Reach Central via Marina

 

2. Walk up till the first signal towards Egmore. Precisely, you will reach the tip of Poonamallee High Road.

 

3. Ferry services are available on a cycle driven cart that will take you till the other end of the flooded lane towards Egmore.

 

4. After which the travel agents corner is walkable if you take the road that leads to Egmore railway station.

 

PS - Hotel Fortel on the same lane accommodates people at their lobby until the bus arrives. But they are doing this as their way to help people. It is a favour not an obligation. 

 

Dont depend on Trains as all the trains from Chennai are CANCELLED. 

 

The bus takes the Hosur route, and within 6 ½ hours you will reach Bangalore double road.
