According to the the popular portal, Russians had sent two different assassination groups - the Wagner group and Chechen rebels to kill the Ukrainian President. This information was passed on to the Ukrainian government by Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB).

The Wagner group, unaware of the President's relocation, entered the Ukrainian president's secret location in Kyiv and were reportedly shot dead by the Ukrainian army, who were already expecting them.
