Treasures in the ocean

Numerous gold, silver and emerald coins from ships that sank many years ago are still believed to be in Spanish waters today. Researchers have found that 710 ships have sunk in Cuba, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Bermuda, the Bahamas and the US Atlantic Ocean.

Half of these ships were on their way from the Latin American Empire to Spain when they sank due to bad weather, collisions with rocks or pirate attacks. This is the goal of Spain.
