Russia's Batagaika Crater has grown 1km long and is pulling everything around it!

In the Siberian region of Russia, a large valley has formed. Although the pit is not yet formed, its deepening has caused people to panic. The pit was first discovered in the 1980s. But its depth is increasing day by day.

When the valley was first discovered, its depth was not even 6 feet. Subsequently, the size of the pit was reportedly re-measured last week. It is said that the depth of the pit at that time was about 282 feet. Similarly, its width is about 1 km. As the depth of the pit has increased over the last 40 years, it has now become a giant pit.

The Secret of the Soil Layer

People living in the area refer to this pit as the Road to Another World and the Gate of the City by many names. The valley, which grows to about 20 to 30 meters per year, is changing to swallow everything nearby. As well as going to the bottom of this pit, reports say that the old layers of the earth are being exposed. The soil layers, about 6.50 million years old, are thought to be below 282 feet.

What is the reason?

Also, some information has come out about the reason why the depth of this valley is increasing day by day. It has been suggested that such craters may have formed as a result of the melting of glaciers, and that these effects may be due to global warming.

It is said that it will increase in size and swallow up the surrounding area, and that many more craters like this could occur due to global warming.
