American man dies two months after receiving the first-ever human heart transplant from a pig!

A few months ago, a man who operated on a pig's heart for surgery, died, and now another shocking piece of information has emerged in the study.

David Bennett, a 59-year-old heart patient from Maryland, USA, died of a heart-lung bypass machine late last year.

As such, David underwent a pig heart transplant.

The operation was successfully completed last January. Many of the researchers were proud of the success of the treatment that fitted the animal's heart to man. After completing various studies, David Bennett died suddenly last March while the pig's heart was being fitted to a human. Earlier, Bennett, who was in good condition after undergoing heart transplant surgery, was shocked by the doctors who treated him.

Following this, the researchers tested the heart fitted to David Bennett. Then, new information came out and created some tension among them. The pig's heart was found to be infected with the DNA porcine cytomegalovirus. However, it is said that the virus is the cause of the infection and no symptoms have been identified yet.

Researchers also say that cats need to be included in any precautionary measures against the virus. Not only that, but reports suggest that further tests are being conducted to detect such viruses.

For a person who was severely ill, they fitted a pig's heart and found success in it. Following his sudden death, an incident in which some viruses were found to be present in the pig's heart created a kind of panic.
