"This happens every March 17th..." - 1000 year old mystery continues to terrify pub staff!
Home > News Shots > World newsOne of the oldest pubs in the UK still unravels the mystery of 1000 years of mystery.
Old Ferry Boat Inn is an old pub located in the Cambridgeshire area of the east of England. The pub executives claim that there are many startling experiences for travelers who come here every year on March 17th. On that day, its staff say that strange images appear and that the lights glow frighteningly and then go out because of an event that took place over 1000 years ago.
\The area where the pub is now located is said to have been inhabited in 1050 by a young woman named Juliet Dewsley. The pub executives, who claim to have fallen in love with Tom Chool, say he took his own life because Tom did not show up on time. Juliet's body is buried inside the building. To this day, black stone is placed on the site, and pub officials watch out for anyone stepping on it.
Thus the date of Juliet's death was March 17, 1050. Locals believe Juliet comes to the pub on the same date each year thereafter.
Jamie Toms, a former employee of the pub, said: "We had a terrifying experience there. It sounds like it's playing in the air, and many guests are scared. "
For the past 1000 years, every March 17 event at the Old Ferry Boat Inn in the UK has been a mystery to this day.
