Home > News Shots > World newsThe incident of 4 warplanes suddenly flying over Japanese airspace while Modi was attending the Quad conference in Japan is being talked about globally.
Quad Conference
India, Japan, the United States and Australia are the four countries that have formed the Quad system. The conference is aimed at enhancing cooperation between these countries. In this context, it was previously announced that the 4th Quad Summit would be held in Japan. Following this, the Prime Ministers of the United States, India and Australia visited Japan.
Warplanes
Japanese Defense Minister Nobuo Kishi has said that four Russian and Chinese warplanes flew over Japanese airspace while US President Joe Biden and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi were holding talks at a quad conference in the Japanese capital, Tokyo.
He told reporters: "Two Chinese bombers joined two Russian bombers in the Sea of Japan and made a joint flight to the East China Sea. After that, a total of four aircraft, two presumed (new) Chinese bombers -- which replaced the two Chinese bombers -- and two Russian bombers, conducted a joint flight from the East China Sea to the Pacific Ocean."
Advice
Noting that this was an annoying event, Kishi said that various suggestions were put forward at the conference to strengthen security between the member states and that the Russia-Ukraine war and its impact were discussed.
This is the fourth time Chinese planes have flown over Japan since last November. China and Russia's warplanes flew over Japan's airspace, especially during the Quad's summit.
